Location: 6755 Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls, ON | Visited in April 2026
It had been years since we last visited Niagara Falls, and honestly, that felt like reason enough to finally make it happen. We figured that why not do it as a proper staycation before summer crowds hit? We caught it in that in-between season where winter was technically over, but the wind absolutely did not get the memo. Layers were mandatory at that time.
The View: The Whole Point of Coming Here
By the way, let me start right away with that one: the view is just breath-taking. Our stay in the hotel had us stay at the 30th floor level which was one level under the total number of floors in the hotel, which is 31 floors. Looking at Niagara Falls from the 30th floor level will give you a completely different view, yet a breath-taking one as well. The view is absolutely stunning during daytime hours. At the same time, nighttime hours have got their own magic when the light display starts up!
And yes, the Fallsview room costs more than a standard city-side room, but if you’re coming all the way to Niagara Falls and you don’t book the falls view, what are you even doing? The upgrade is non-negotiable in my books.

Booking & What It’ll Cost You
We booked through Booking.com specifically because we wanted free cancellation as a safety net – life is unpredictable, and paying upfront without that option makes me anxious. It costs a bit more to go that route, but peace of mind has a price and I’m okay with that.
Our total came to $294 + $89 in taxes and fees, not including dinner at Milestones. That already includes the Fallsview room upgrade and the higher floor request since both are additional costs on top of a standard booking, so factor that in when you’re budgeting. For the experience we got, I would call it very worth it.
The Hotel Itself
This is your classic, no-surprises hotel experience. Walking through it, the interior feels a bit dated – it has that slightly vintage hotel energy that comes from being originally built as the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel. It’s not a bad thing necessarily, just worth knowing if you’re expecting something ultra-modern. The room itself is spacious and comfortable, and once you’re looking out that window, the decor stops mattering pretty quickly.
The room we reserved at the Falls View hotel with Booking.com is called Queen Room with Two Queen Beds (Falls View, High Floor), which literally means that there are two queen beds with a night stand in between, along with a TV, TV stand, a love-seat with a table, a bench, a chair and a washroom. The place is cozy and comfortable without being overly extravagant; however, when you have the view from the window, all this décor goes away rather quickly.
Another tip that concerns the elevators: expect to experience chaos in the morning and evening when everyone else is checking in and out since everyone is trying to get somewhere at once and the wait can potentially be a test of patience. On the flip side to it, throughout the day, it was totally smooth.

Staff & Check-In
We arrived around 2 PM, a couple hours ahead of the standard 4 PM check-in since we just came from lunch at Turtle Jack’s nearby. Thankfully, the staff very kindly let us check in early, which was a lovely start to the stay.
At check-in, they walked us through everything clearly: the $19.99 Milestones dining coupon included with the stay, optional overnight parking, and the $75 hold on the credit card (fully refundable, returned within 3–7 business days). Nothing felt like a surprise, which I always appreciate.
Food & Coffee On-Site
There’s a Starbucks on the ground floor and a Milestones on the second floor, so you’re covered on both ends without having to leave the building. The $19.99 dining coupon is a genuinely nice perk – we used ours for dinner and ordered the Thai Coconut Curry, which was really tasty. A solid way to end the night without venturing back out into that Niagara wind.

Facilities
There’s a gym and an indoor pool on-site. We ended up at the gym in the early morning after a restless night – it’s hard to sleep well somewhere new, so we made the most of the early hours. We completely skipped the pool because we didn’t pack swimsuits. Classic mistake. This trip was done more for exploration purposes than for any staycation purposes, and so we never really thought about bringing it along. However, if you plan on doing a real staycation and not some exploration type of vacation, make sure that you bring along your swimming suit.

Tips & Logistics
A few things worth knowing before you go:
WiFi
Marriott Bonvoy members get free WiFi. Non-members will need to pay a daily fee. We came back late and woke up early, so between our phone data and the short stay, we didn’t really mind – it turned into an accidental digital detox for the weekend, which was kind of nice. That being said, if you’re planning a full day in the hotel, it’s worth signing up for the Bonvoy membership beforehand.
Getting to the Falls
There’s an incline railway shortcut that’s worth knowing about. Take the WeGo bus to the Table Rock South stop – the incline railway is right there and saves you from walking up the hill, especially handy in that Niagara wind.
Parking
The hotel does offer overnight parking – just ask at check-in.
Final Thoughts
Marriott on the Falls is a solid choice for a Niagara Falls staycation, especially if you go all in on the Fallsview room and a higher floor. The hotel has some age to it, but the views more than compensate, and the on-site dining and genuinely helpful staff made the whole experience feel smooth and low-stress. Would we go back? For that 30th floor view and the night light show alone – probably yes.
Disclaimer: I paid for this stay entirely out of my own pocket – this is 100% my honest, unsponsored experience. Please note that hotel offerings, pricing, amenities, and policies are subject to change, so I would recommend checking directly with the hotel or their website for the most up-to-date information before your visit.
